Wii Fit arriving next year

wiifit_sslg4.jpg

G – The active-play phenomenon started by Wii Sports now spreads to your whole body thanks to the pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board (name not final), which comes packed with Wii Fit. The board is used for an extensive array of fun and dynamic activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and games. Many of these activities focus towards providing a “core” workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions. Family members will have fun staying active and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.

It it interesting how Nintendo is diversifying Wii. The reason to Wii’s popularity is it’s unique concept, which has opened the door to video gaming world for adults and kids alike. It’s a family video game and now with these add ons it’s claiming it’s position as the number one video game console out there.

Hidden deals

navamazonlogofooter_v28232323_.jpg

G – We all like deals and that’s what makes shopping exciting atleast for me, it’s like a game of scotland yard where you are runnign after something trying to gather clues and when you find it it’s an awesome feeling. The bad side of this is once you found the deal and bought it then you start looking for another deal. Finding deals and buying them has changed the way we shop, we no longer buy things we need but we buy things because it’s a good deal and somehow we find a reason to buy it like “Oh what if my double backup hard drive crashes I should buy a new hard drive” or “If so many people I buying this it has to be good”. So sometimes I wonder how many people out there buy things because it’s a good deal.

I didn’t want to blog on this the reason I started writing this post to let the readers know about this cool hidden section on Amazon, some people already know about it but you can’t stop posting just because some people already know about it. So here is the scoop. When you go to amazon.com you would see a tab on the top saying today’s deal, it’s self explanatory what it does but what you don’t know is along with today’s deal on that page is a lightning deal section where they post deal for few hrs or till the item runs out of stock, now that’s what I call a cool kick ass deal. So go ahead and check it out.

“MrRebates.com” bring more cash to your wallet

Mr. Rebates

G – mrrebates.com is a shopping portal. I came across it few days back. The way this site works is, you register yourself with this site and then you buy stuff from your favourite stores where you regularly buy stuff and in return earn some cash back. There is no credit card or bank information required.  I tried the site myself and signed up with it. Once you create a login then in the search box you can type the name of the store like banana republic and in the search results click on the banana republic link, this will take you to the Banana Republic site and you shop as you sho always. Now what has happened is because you went to the Banana Republic site through mrrebates you earn cash back ranging from 1%-10%.

I like the concept and I just got $6 cash back without doing anything, and before you know this cash back would add up.  I would totally reccommend this site. So go ahead and log yourself in and make your money work even harder.

Veterans Day Parade 2007 (3)

G – I like how there is American Flag as a backdrop to the POW-MIA flag. It gives it a good contrast and the flow is very smooth.

G – We were in New York this weekend and found out that the Veterans Day parade was going to take place downtown NY. This is one of the pictures I tool. I like how the light and selective focus did th trick here. This Veteran was right in the middle of the street, I had to dodge the cops to take this picture.

Progress has been made. WaterAid and other NGOs have developed methods to ensure more and more rural people are gaining access to safe, sustainable and affordable latrines.

G – A World Toilet Summit has opened in the Indian capital, Delhi, with more than 40 countries taking part. The four-day meeting will examine solutions and technologies that can be used to provide a basic need for nearly half the world’s population. According to estimates, 2.6bn people around the world lack access to a hygienic toilet. The United Nations hopes to halve this figure by 2015 as part of its millennium development goals.

The reason I chose to put it on the blog is to shed some light on this century old issue which is finally getting some attention, most of us reading this blog have probably never faced any of these issues ever in our lives but when you hear that 2.6bn people around the world don’t have access to toilets then you say hmmm… The good thing is something is being done now. It’s easy to say things have been like this for centuries but isn’t evolution a fundamental right of every human being.
